Peter Holran joined Enbridge in May 2012 and serves as Director, U.S. Public & Government Affairs in Washington, D.C. In this capacity, Mr. Holran is responsible for U.S. federal, state and local government relations as well as coordinating stakeholder and public affairs activities in support of Enbridge’s U.S. business and social goals.
Enbridge, based in Calgary, Alberta, and with U.S. headquarters in Houston, TX, is a leader in the safe and reliable delivery of energy in North America, operating the world’s longest, most sophisticated crude oil and liquids transportation system. Enbridge also has a significant and growing presence in the natural gas transmission and midstream businesses, and an increasing involvement in power transmission.
Prior to joining Enbridge, Mr. Holran served as Vice President Government & Public Affairs at TASER International from November 2007 to March 2012after serving as a consultant to the company for the previous five years. He created and headed the TASER International Washington, DC area office and was responsible for expanding the company’s visibility and influence with federal, state and local governments.
Mr. Holran also held senior positions in leading Washington, DC government relations and public affairs firms and on staff in the United States House of Representatives including Vice President for Issues Management and Crisis Communications at FD Dittus Communications; Senior Director at Wexler & Walker Public Policy Associates; Deputy Chief of Staff for US Representative Robert S. Walker (PA-16) and Press Secretary/Executive Assistant for US Representative R. Lawrence Coughlin (PA-13).
